The Upper Midwest Boykin Spaniel Club is where the owners and fans of a highly versatile little brown hunting dog gather for social events, structured Boykin Spaniel Society Upland Hunt Tests and Retriever Hunt Tests.
We serve the upper midwest states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, along with the northern 1/3 of Illinois, the eastern 1/2 of the Dakotas, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

As hunting dogs, our Boykin Spaniels excel in the fields and forests, swamps and ponds of this part of the country. They are almost tailor-made for ruffed grouse, they’ll go after pheasants with abandon, and of course “the little dog who won’t rock the boat” is ideal for the duck hunter’s skiff.
Founded in 2010 by a handful of Boykin Spaniel enthusiasts, the UMBSC has continued to grow over the years. There are more Boykins in this part of the country than you might think. Club members are passionate about the breed and involved in many types of dog events and outdoor shows.
